Big XII Conference
The 40th Annual Big XII Conference on Black Student Government will be held at University of Texas in Austin, Texas from February 16th to February 18th, 2017. The cost of registration for the conference is to be announced(Registration includes all workshops, speakers, Gospel Extravaganza, registration gifts, and six meals). A $30 Entertainment Package (Friday: Step Show, Parties, and other special events) is optional.
Students interested in attending must complete the application below. If selected, the Legion will cover your registration fee, travel, and lodging. Those selected to attend the conference are responsible for gathering material and skills from the conference to bring back and present to campus.
You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA at the beginning of second semester and be actively involved in an organization outside of the Legion of Black Collegians to attend.
Applicants must provide 250 words describing your interest in attending the conference, how you feel attending the conference will benefit the campus and how you feel it can benefit you.
Applications should be submitted by TBA.
You will find out if you have been accepted by TBA.
If chosen as one of the scholarship recipients for the Big XII Conference there will be a TBA fee that each individual will still be responsible for paying by means of student charge. The TBA fee will be going toward the Big XII entertainment package and registration not toward anything LBC related. Students who are selected to attend the conference are responsible for their own meals outside of those provided by the conference.
